It has nearly an acre of fenced in, grass-covered off-leash fun; a built-in water fountain (one for you, one for your dog!); a separate, enclosed area for small dogs and puppies (11 weeks and older); a soda machine on premises; trees and shaded areas for you and your dog to rest under, and park benches for the two-legged guests. Well’s Park – El Cajon
This park is located at 1153 E. Madison Ave. El Cajon, Ca. 92021, phone (619)441-1680 , and is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is located on approximately 2 acres and there are many large trees for plenty of shade. A canopy was installed overhead to cover the 2 concrete picnic benches for people. The city installed a black chain link fence that encloses the entire dog area. Small and large dogs are separated with the large dog side at approximately 1.25 acres of undulating hills. There are 2 water fountains (one on each side) with 3 outlets to drink from, even Fido has a spot. Each side is covered with about 90 percent grass, some trees and 3 stations per side for pooper scoopers and trash cans. When it gets dark the 2 baseball-size lighting towers make it easy to see even the smallest of dogs trying to hide.
